Crais calls them all to command because the Vigilante ship that's been chasing them has landed on the planet. John, Aeryn Crais go out to distract the Peacekeepers.

Xhalax and two Colartas follow pulse fire coming from Talyn's crew.

Stark and Rygel find vegitation growing inside the ship. It's healing Talyn, but it's also rooting him down. They work to cut as much of it down, as they can.

Xhalax finds Aeryn, John and Crais, and a gunfight ensues. John and Aeryn are seperated. Crais is hit as well as Xhalax, but not seriously injured. Aeryn and Xhalax come face to face. Aeryn is forced to knock Xhalax out. John finds Crais. He tells John that Colartas are being used, which are expert trackers. John seals Crais' wound with the juice from a highly acid fruit. When Xhalax comes to, she asks Aeryn how she knew who she was. Aeryn tells her she's her daughter.

Crais and John try to get back to the ship, but are completely lost without their positioning device, which Aeryn has. John finds a smelly goo to cover their scent.

Aeryn takes Xhalax back to Talyn, planning to use her as leverage.

John gets sticks to make rudimentary weapons. ScorpyClone comes for a visit. He tells John that Crais hasn't always been open with his information.

On Talyn, Xhalax cuts open her forearm with her thumbnail, for a blade and cuts her ropes. She smells a drug of some kind that heightens her strength and dulls her pain. Aeryn, Stark and Rygel fight back. She knocks out Aeryn and Stark and guts Rygel. Later, when Stark recovers, he uses the healing vines to stitch up Rygel.

Xhalax has Aeryn tied up in command. She reveals she's disconnecting Talyn's higher functions so command can put a control collar on him. Then, she will track down Moya.

John ties up Crais and gets the truth of him about using them to stay distanced from command and pursuing Peacekeepers. He uses Crais to draw the Colartas.

Aeryn tries to convince Xhalax not to disable Talyn. They talk about Xhalax's visit to Aeryn, when she was a child. Xhalax first denies it, then admits it, being ashamed of her "weakness". She then tells Aeryn that she redeemed herself to command by killing Aeryn's father.

The Colartas discover Crais. John attacks them from beingd a tree. He's still going to leave him, but Crais makes him realize that if there's any chance Aeryn isn't alive or with Talyn, that there's no other way for John to leave the planet.

Xhalax hog ties Aeryn and Stark in command. Xhalax finds the vid of her visit with Aeryn. Aeryn tries to use it to sway Xhalax, but it fails. Xhalax leaves the room. While Aeryn and Stark try to struggle out of their ropes, Rygel wakes up.

One of the Colartas who appeared dead before, rises and returns to hunting down Talyn's crew.

Xhalax returns to her ship for her weapon.

Rygel cuts Aeryn free. Aeryn orders Stark to wake Talyn and goes after Xhalax.

John uses the positioning device he took from one of the Colartas to get back to Talyn, but the other Colartas finds them. Xhalax follows the sounds of their struggle. Just as she fires on them, Aeryn tackles her. John and Crais stuggle with the Colartas and Aeryn with her mother. John tackles Xhalax just before she shoots Aeryn. Aeryn realizes the only way, is to kill Xhalax. John doesn't want her to do it. Crais insists it's the only way, so John tells him to do it, and he agrees. John and Aeryn head back to Talyn and hear the shots.

Later, Crais works at restoring Talyn by "splicing his neural M grams" with Talyn.
