Moya meets with a medical transport. Naj Gil invites Jool to join them. She initially declines.

D’argo and Rygel are meeting elsewhere, with Scorpius, to work out a deal to bring John to Scorpius. After a brief encounter with Scorpius’ guards, they get to the matter at hand.

Back on Moya, Jool has changed her mind. But Chiana insists she doesn’t go, because she sees herself mourning for her. She punches her and drags her back. Peacekeeper ships approach. With Crais’ approval, he allows Talyn to destroy them. Afterwards, unprovoked, Talyn also destroys the medical ship. Moya refuses to move, and Talyn has shut himself down, and allowing no contact.

Scorpius shows them his idea. I-Yensch bracelets. When two people wear them, they each feel the other’s pain. Just after the attachment of the bracelets to Braca and D’argo, two aliens, claiming to be burglars, hold everyone hostage. They notice the pain connection between D’argo and Braca. They shoot Braca in the leg, also damaging D’argo.

Crais feels that the only way to keep Talyn from reacting in unwarranted ways, again, is to shut down Talyn, and give a full system replacement.

Rygel tries to con his way out of behind held hostage. He tries to get them to ransom Braca and Scorpius. He learns that they were meant to burn the diner down, for insurance money.

Moya refuses to let them do anything to Talyn. Aeryn speaks with her, to make her understand.

Scorpius turns the tables and tells the robbers about the fact that Rygel is worth much more than anyone else.

Talyn agrees to allowing Crais on board. But, as they prepare themselves to leave Moya, his cannon aims at Moya and fires several shots.

Scorpius tells Rygel the key code to the bracelets. In the meantime, the two convince the robbers that D’argo’s ship is faster, but D’argo’s injured. They shoot the cook, during a confrontation between him and his wife/girlfriend. Rygel mutters the key code to Braca and D’argo.

Talyn allows Crais, Aeryn and John to board. After a brief moment of him holding the guns on the three, he allows them to do what is needed.

Rygel tries to get them back to wanting to ransom Scorpius. They agree to trust him, if he’ll shoot Braca. He refuses, but agrees to shoot Scorpius, instead.

Talyn has been shut down.

Rygel tells the robbers he wants to get a prize off of Scorpius. When he goes behind the counter, where Scorpius landed, Scorpius is found to still be alive. He has a single pulse charge cartridge hidden in his cooling unit. Rygel informs him there is a knife under a plate of food. Rygel tell them he has changed his mind. As the robbers are distracted, D’argo puts the I-Yensch bracelet on one of the robbers and begins pounding his head on the floor. Scorpius comes out during the confusion and stabs the other robber in the shoulder with the knife. Rygel shoots him with the charge cartridge.

Scorpius agrees to the plan. John comes on his carrier, as long as both John and Scorpius wear the bracelet. They return to Moya with no further trouble.
