Moya detects a signal, but cannot determine who it is. They think it's Talyn, because it's near the meeting place, but they aren't sure. Arriving at the transport pod, they aren't receiving any signals. The pod docks, and all the Moya crew is there to meet it. Instead of the Talyn crew, a Scarren (Naj Gil), Nebari (Hubero), Hynerian (Orrhn), and
Peacekeeper (Markir Tal), disembark. They claim to have escaped imprisonment and need help. They check the pod, for a Boolite. They find pieces everywhere. They find that the parts can last independently for at least half a cycle. The Nebari insists they help put it back together. Talyn approaches Moya. John runs to the docking bay to meet the arriving pod. Rygel exits first, then Crais, and finally, Aeryn. She gives him the cold shoulder and exits the room. Crais breaks the news to him, that the other Crichton has died. Rygel smells that they have visitors, particularly a female Hynerian. He finds her in his quarters. She tells him that recognizes him and was arrested for not approving of Bischan's rule. Aeryn goes to the cell of the Peacekeeper tech the prisoners captured. He begs for her to release him, but she refuses. John goes through the other John's items. He finds the mask. Starks' image comes from it after he sets it down and begins to tell him that there's a message for him on it. But, right at that time, Pilot interrupts, announcing a Peacekeeper distress signal coming from within the ship. Since the tech has been in a cell (and not on the same tier as the signal) since his arrival, they turn to each of their guests. But each has had someone with them constantly. Naj Gil goes with D'argo, Hubero with Chiana and Orrhn with Rygel. Moya starbursts away. Crais and Jool work at putting the Boolite together. John and Aeryn work on some systems in Moya. Aeryn responds to his requests for tools, but won't speak or look at him. The boolite begins to talk and say "traitor". They believe that the traitor was on the transport. He can't remember who it was. Naj Gil is shot, but they can't figure out who it was. Once again, everyone was with someone, accept the one who was shot. Another signal has been sent, this time with Moya's co-ordinates. John checks on the PK Tech, who has still not moved from his cell. John plans to get all the "guests" loaded and off the ship, but everyone has gone missing, hiding their individual guests. Crais and Jool work on the boolite some more. It begins to speak again. The DRD outside the PK Tech's cell is shot, and he escapes. Orrhn turns out to be the traitor. She admits to striking a deal with the Tech, and then finding Rygel made it even better, for her. She lied to him, and pleasured him to make him sleep, so that she could roam the ship. In the medical bay, the PK Tech attacks. Orrhn drags Rygel around on his sled. She shoots and kills Hubero. The PK and Orrhn get away on the pod. Aeryn, John and D'argo take D'argo's ship after them. John and Aeryn use the Tack missiles in a similar way as they did in the Budong, to anchor to the pod. They swing down to the pod and blast the door open. Orrhn and Rygel start to fly out of the pod, but John grabs Rygel. Orrhn eventually slips and floats off into space. The pod is about to blow. The three fly behind on the rope, as D'argo takes off, away from the explosion. The message on the mask is from the other Crichton. The image tells him about his experiences with the knowledge and what's gone on up to that point. He warns him that the Peacekeepers are his problem right now and that he needs to stop Scorpius from cracking the knowledge. John goes to the crew and lets them know, either with or without them, he's going after Scorpius. Pilot expresses that Moya and Talyn both disagree with the idea. Most of the rest of the crew, does, as well. After a bit, Aeryn steps forward and stands beside him. Then, Crais. |
