While John and Zhaan are adrift in space (thanks to Rygel storing his "Keedva Barbeque" in a shuttle) Zhaan struggles with false visions of the death of Aeryn, John and D'Argo, during their time hiding from Scorpius.

She finally opens up to John. During the time the six had been seperated, Zhaan, Chiana and Rygel were searching all nearby planets for their friends.

They had arrived on the last planet that John, D'Argo and Aeryn could have been on, and were having no luck finding them. Moya was in a hurry to leave, to look for Talyn. Finally deciding they had to come to terms with their friends being gone, Zhaan says it's time to go.

She obeys the traffic signal that tells her to stop, but unknown to her, someone changes the sign to say to go. She nearly gets hit and is put in jail for breaking the law. Her lawyer tells her it will be at least 10 solar days before she can leave.

Visions of John, Aeryn and D'Argo at first haunt her and then give her a little solice during her stress. Someone sets her free, but it's a set-up. She trips over a dead body and is accused of his death. At first she cries her innocence, but realizing that if she doesn't agree with the guilty plea, that Chiana and Rygel will be stuck on the planet as well.

Chiana and Rygel refuse to let her plead guilty and become her council. In the meantime, Zhaan has decided to go back into "the Seek" to escape the stresses and to come to terms with her own death. They begin to uncover the truth and the leading lawyer of the planet captures her and tells her she cannot continue the way she is going. Her intercom was still on, and Pilot and Moya hear the whole conversation.

Moya stays and assists them in winning their case, through an old tradition that the planet has of determining truth and fiction. Zhaan's guilt for leaving Chiana and Rygel to fend for themselves had haunted her the whole time.
