Alarms sound on Moya. The crew discovers that a Paddoc Beacon is the cause. It's been triggered because the control collar was removed, and it's using Moya's hull to maximize it's broadcast distance. It's also intertwined with Moya's Neural Nexxus and needs to be removed quickly. Needing to muffle the device, Pilot takes the chance of landing the ship in a bog on a nearby planet. Aeryn, D'argo and John go out to find because Clorium is needed to alleviate pain for Moya, in the removal of the beacon. The inhabitants turn out to have never seen "alien" life before. Aeryn and D'argo work to distract those who came to investigate their landing, and John is sent to find the Clorium. He finds what could be Clorium, in the barn, but is quickly discovered by Fostro, an alien child from the planet. His mother, Lynnea, takes John in and hides him from the military. He discovers Clorium in the kitchen, in a seasoning container. The military eventually captures D'argo. Fostro helps John, by distracting the guards, so John can free him. Meanwhile, Rygel has been disconnecting the beacon from Moya's Nexxus. Although she's in great pain, Zhaan tries to help, by sharing her pain. Lynnea helps further by pointing the military in the opposite direction as the ship had landed. John and D'argo return with the Clorium just as Rygel finishes removing the last connection. They are able to leave the planet, beacon disconnected. |
