In an effort to hide from a Peacekeeper marauder, Moya hides behind a cloud, which turns out to be a life form. The creatures invade the ship and begin taking over. The heat is turned up, and then, the spores begin to grow into bug-like forms (Draks). Aeryn is affected heavily by the heat, because of Sebacean's weakness for it, and is nearly put into "the living death" (a vegitative state where they are still aware of their surroundings). The Draks take DNA from the crew. After John kills a Drak in his room, they begin developing "clones" of the crew, and attacking whoever they see. A Drak inserts a large stinger into Zhaan. Through Zhaan, they learn that a life form is going through a birthing on the ship, and are able to explain to the Queen that she is killing them and will kill Moya, too, if she doesn't turn the heat down. The Commando's from the Maurauder, board the ship and all John had established so far with this Drak race was nearly ruined. Rygel is sent to talk with the Queen, and they were able to get across to the Draks that those on board were not friendly and with the help of increased heat and the help of the replicants, they are able to get the Commandos to agree to leave the ship. Once the Maurauder crew has left, the Draks soon finish their Genesis and go back out into space. |
