The crew comes across a ship that is being destroyed on the subatomic level. The only
survivors are two Ilanics - Matala and Verell, which are a "cousin" race to the Luxans. D'Argo insists that they help these two get to where they are needing to
meet more of their race. After touching something in the Ilanic ship, Crichton begins to see glimpses of the future. Each time he tries to fix it, the future glimpses get worse. He finally sees that Matala is not what she seems. Zhaan and Aeryn help determine Matala is not an Ilanic, but a Scorvian - a great enemy to both the Ilanics and Luxans. They have to try to convince D'Argo of this, who is falling in love with Matala. John's able to convince D'argo to help, by telling him something he overheard in a future flash, about D'argo's "real" crime. The appearance of a supposedly Illanic ship which won't allow them to see their faces, seals D'argo's will to help them. But, they're not quick enough and Matala stabs Verell, and gets on her ship. But, just before Verell dies, he is able to set open the compartment containing an atomic particle of a black hole. Her ship and the Scorvian mothership that she's nearby, are both destroyed. |
